I am very proud of the following facts:

 Tree City for 10 consecutive years.

Received our 6th award (story below) which will go towards a re-inventory of our village trees.

Received 3 tree grants from the state in 4 attempts.

We have our own mini-arboretum at the village hall property with several species of trees including a sassafras tree.

Lindenhurst: Winner of Growth Award

This is the TENTH year Lindenhurst has been given the Tree City USA designation. In addition to that, Lindenhurst also was presented with the coveted SIXTH Growth Award by the National Arbor Day Foundation for additional improvement judged on a point basis.

Village Arborist Ken Andersen has planned some special Earth Day events at Village Hall between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 21st.
